Over a 4 week period in November 2015, 29 patients agreed to fill out a questionnaire. This was given to them before they left the clinic and they were simply asked if they could spare a couple of minutes of their time to answer a quick questionnaire about their experience that day. No incentive was offered to fill out the questionnaire. The questionnaire was filled out in the waiting room and handed back to the receptionist.
The answers given were all excellent or very good or very satisfied.
The questions asked included: How do you rate the following aspects: – Making you feel at ease, Letting you tell your story, Paying attention/really listening, Showing interest in you as a person (not just a number), Fully understanding your concerns, Showing care and compassion, Having a positive approach, Explaining things clearly, Helping you take control, Encourage rather than lecture, Making a plan of action and How would you rate your consultation today?
Dr Harker was very pleased with the results of the survey.
