Acne and oily skin is very common in the teenage years and can severely reduce self-confidence just at the time when looks and image are of prime importance to the young person.
Teenage skin is more oily than adult skin, which can cause blocked pores, resulting in spots.
Teenage skin conditions can leave scars that can persist into adulthood. Dr Harker will carefully listen to the young person’s problems and examine the skin and can and offer a range of treatments to improve skin quality. Teenage acne can be treated with a course of peels and/or DiamondTone microdermabrasion to clear the pores and restore skin clarity.
All work is compliant with NICE guidelines.
It is our policy to refer any problems that can or should be treated on the NHS back to your GP.
Dr Harker offers all these treatments personally.
